Artist Spotlight | Natalia Marrero

For each Crybaby Subscription Box, we think that it’s very important to highlight the makers and the movers that made each box happen. The purpose of the box is to spread support and love while also supporting creatives and their endeavors. (There are a few boxes left and they are now available in the shop!) These are their stories.

Natalia Marrero started Shop Destruya (formally known as Upcycled Patches) four years ago. In her store, Natalia creates a variety of feminist apparel ranging from patches to t-shirts.

For the self-care subscription box, Natalia created "I Luv Me" fabric patches as an homage to untraditional candy hearts.

"I'm all about loving yourself and enjoying your own company even if it seems weird to always be alone," Natalia said.

Natalia admits that she still struggles with embracing this and her emotions.

"Even being raised as a cis-female, I was still called a crybaby every time I cried," Natalia said. "It's important to let your emotions out or no one will ever know the real you."

Natalia is currently doing a variety of events and working on getting her products in more stores across the U.S. and Canada.
